If you use the road you should have to follow the rules like everyone else.

As a driver I'm already worried about hitting a cyclist when driving past them. Some cyclists are unpredictable and don't always stop at Stop signs or signal when turning.

I do a lot of biking myself and this is just common sense safety.

It's dangerous for them not to stop and just to yield

They are already dangerous and have no care for road laws.

If they want to be on the road and not pay taxes for said road, they should at least follow all the rules of the road!

I believe that the law says they must.

9 out of 10 cars don't even stop at stop signs. Cyclists need to be extra careful when out on the road. It's scary out there.

All these laws are passed to give cyclist the same laws as a vehicle. It's what they push for so yes they should be required to stop. Maybe cars should yield at stop signs. That's how dumb it sounds

Also if they would use the bike lanes how they are supposed to be used and ride single file there would be less bikes hit. You push for the bike lane then you better use it. Common sense. Use it too!!

Because there on the road ways.. that would just make it worse for everyone

Is this just for bikes? Because if you're like me and ride a longboard, the roads in town are steep, so you catch too much speed and most of the time, see the car way before they see you to stop.

I PROMOTE cycling.I want to give (and DO) give cyclists a right-of-way until we have masses on the road as they do in Europe. For now, please yield to cyclists that are helping our environment. Thanks

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies
