It would limit residence and spur of the moment use. One of the perks of living here is the easy access to trails, lakes, etc. Maybe require limits only on weekends or major holidays.

Because locals deserve first chance at access. Give locals a week to apply first then open it up to outsiders.

The tourist and new comers seem to be the ones trashing the place. The trails were not like this during the first few years I lived here (12 - 15/16).

Of course CO residents should be exempt. I didn't move here 42 years ago to be told I have to stand in line to hike on a trail in my backyard!

Whether running tourists or livestock, every piece of real estate has a carrying capacity. There is an upper limit in the matter of the number of head one can put out on the range.

Everyone should be held to the same standard. We all have a responsibility to limit our impact on the environment.

Just because someone lives here doesn't mean they are less destructive.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies

He's mad because California has never voted for him. Dictators do what Dictators do.
