I'm sharing this post with the red one to the right. This questions answer reflects a 2 edged sword. Think hard about it's results for both edges of that sword. There's no one answer here.

Over the past few years, I have seen quite a few bus accidents with fatalities in the news. I absolutely think school buses should have seatbelts.

How stupid to not have seatbelts in school buses. For all the school bus accidents and rollovers you'd think this is a no brainer especially in this liberal state. Really, seriously?

Ever since it was required by law for all vehicles to have seat belts, all buses should have had them installed too. I can't believe it's taken this long to get them installed! About time!

I was in the business 30 yrs. The large buses are extremely safe. The seats are designed to be compartmentalized for safety. I can't imagine trying to get 84 kids out of a bus that caught on fire.

Exactly!!! I was on a special needs bus for 6 years. The thought of evaluating was hard to fathom.

Bus belts are one size fits all. The belts fit teens, risking injury to smaller kids? They put small & overweight out of a safe zone. We all rode, we're still alive. You drive em, but buses ARE safer.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies

He's mad because California has never voted for him. Dictators do what Dictators do.
