We always go to bed together regardless of the others schedule for the following day. It's what we consider our unwinding time.

we usually do go to bed together. it is mainly because we both have to be up around the same time each morning. when I had a job with odd hours we did not go to bed together.

No, usually go to bed around 11-12. My hubby is retired from a lifetime of working the night shift, so is usually up until 2-3am. But it works out, that gives him alone time, and I get mine in the morning as he doesn't get up until 11-12.

He stays up much later. He is a news junkie. He goes to bed by 1:30 or 2 am.

My husband works 3rd shift 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. I am retired so head to bed when he leaves for work.

I'm a night owl and need way less sleep than he does

Depending on how our day has gone, we have different bedtimes. He often works for many hours outdoors and is very physically active, resulting in a much earlier bedtime for my DH.

But he stays in the bedroom and that is comforting to me.

Happily single now but both husbands I had would work different shifts than me so never went to bed at same time, just sometimes on weekends or vacations

My husband likes listening to music while falling asleep - but it's popular music, not relaxing, fall-asleep music - and that keeps me awake! So I've learned to wait at least 30 minutes so the music shuts off.

My husband was in the military. His whole career he worked night shift. I was always on up early with the kids. We're retired now but our bodies are still on different sleep schedules. It's worked for 33 years and we probably won't change anything now.

In the beginning we did, but as time went by, we differed. Sometimes I went to bed first and sometimes he did. Thinking back, I did miss the talks and bonding time. We're divorced now, I wonder if that is a sign.

He gets up for work at 2 a.m. I do not. He of course needs to go to sleep a lot earlier than me for that reason

Only when it is "Play time". Otherwise, she hits the sack early and gets up late (she needs 8 -10 hours sleep a day) and I stay up late and wake up early (I only need 3-5 hours of sleep.)
