I have a lot more fun watching Independence Day. As a Canadian even I can’t help but root for America to kick ass at the end when the president gives his speech. Mars Attacks has always come across like more of a modern Tim Burton film to me. It’s all style and the rest just doesn’t matter.
This is at least entertainingly bad. Insurrection, meanwhile, is just frustratingly bad, goes against one of the core themes of Star Trek (technology makes our lives better) and expects me to root for a handful of smug hippies hogging a universal cure from billions of people.
unlike insurrection it's fun to watch even though it's because it's bad, with that being said there are a few cool ideas and memorable quotes while insurrection is just plain boring with a stupid story thematic
Better action, better acting, more memorable dialogue

ReplyRemember the scene where Will Smith flies his plane through the canyon?

ReplyIndependence Day is cheesy and entertaining, I think Mars Attacks is a bit too cynical
