I make my own cards and like to custom make something appropriate, it shows the thought that went into it and it's personal. Hand delivered is faster than mailing.

The more personal it is the better the sad ppl feel u actually care

Email is as coldhearted as a keyboard. A card or letter with condolences and memories requires thought and conveys love.

A handwritten card shows that one has actually put some thought and effort into the reply.

The most valuable thing you have to offer is your time. Unlike $$, it's unreplenishable. Once spent, it's gone, so spend it wisely by knowing when to spend it on someone else (spend time - get card).

Im old school, if I have your address, I'm sending a card. If I can drop one off I will.

If you have access to someone's home or work address and can send a physical card, I think that is the most meaningful and sincere during a time of grieving.

Anything you physically write or create has more value than a simple electronic message. I still have every card I have ever been given. I cherish them. Sentiment is priceless. -skyscrapper

My husband died a week ago. I feel overwhelmed by the texts and emails, and won't remember most of them later. Just send a dang card and let the ones in mourning choose when to read it.
