Why not? I have freedom of choice, my own space, and lots of friends.

I divorced after 18 years of marriage, and decided to try to live on my own for a while. It's been 20 years and I am so happy to be single and independent!

the hardest thing I ever had to do was to walk away from my first and only true love. It was for the best but there was never anyone else for me.

I've been happy, regardless of my marital status, for most of my life. I'm responsible for my own happiness... No one else's, and no one is responsible for mine.

After my divorce, I wanted to enjoy my own company before I dated again. Best thing ever got me. Grew to love me more.

Both of my wives controlled (control) EVERYTHING. My current wife accused me of being a control freak. When I asked what I controlled, she said I made her save compost.

SINGLE MAN AND VERY HAPPY. YOU DON'T GET SALUTED FOR BEING YOURSELF. WOMEN WANT YOU TO BE "FAMILY GUY" AND YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN. YOU HAVE TO BE A CERTAIN RELIGION OR GO TO THE RIGHT CHURCH. DRIVE A CERTAIN CAR OR LISTEN TO A CERTAIN.TYPE OF MUSIC. IM NOT 30.. IM 60.FREAKIN YEARS OLD.

I was married to a control freak for 59 years. I am MOST happy being a widow. And I have NO plans to date, not even for a coffee.

Didn’t marry until age 43. No kids. 😥 Hubby same age. It’s so much better because I had learned what I wanted in a husband due to my dating & living experiences when I was single.

It felt incomplete being single. It's nice to have someone love you n you them. Sharing, security, not scarey at home at night. So many pluses for being a couple. Guess its all in what you want.

I was single for 11 years between marriages. I hated it. I need/want a partner to share my life with. I'm not a loner by nature.
