That is why I avoid social media.

Because we are required to do SO many things on-line that request private information. Even just applying for a job, most places ask that you submit your application on-line. Such as ss#, DL# DOB, etc

It concerns me that one website will ‘know’ what I looked at on a different website. If other websites know what I’m doing online, other people likely do too.

We already know the govt conducts mass surveillance. Social media has made our private info into a commodity.

I've worked in and around online security systems for decades, so I am always vigilant regarding my privacy.

I maintain a very small digital footprint. No social media whatsoever.

I'm very much into tech with computer, i-Pad, i-Phone, etc so I certainly worry about privacy, hacking, identity theft, etc. But honestly don't see how the risk can be avoided in today's world.
