I would never !! My daughter-in-law re-gifted to me twice and I know how being the recipient of the such felt - like she did not care enough to find the right thing.

It's just not something I've ever done. I am appreciative of someone taking the time to purchase me a gift so I keep it and try to enjoy it.

Absolutely! Especially items I'll never use like candles, punch bowls, and nobelty gifts. I have more than enough "stuff."
ReplyNot everything I receive I can use or like. I write a thank you letter. Gifts are given as a thoughtful gesture. I have too much in lotions. No bathtub for other items. Not everything fits, or is a color I wear. I'm careful about who the regifted item is given. It is always a kindness I remember.
ReplyI would rather it go to somebody who could love it than to collect dust in the closet. I regift it if I know it would be perfect for a friend! Otherwise, I will donate it. It is a waste of money, and a waste of itself, hidden in the closet, unused, when somebody else could be getting joy from it.
ReplyIf I'm not going to use something, it makes since to pass it along to someone who will use it. My family rarely visits my home so no worries about them wondering about anything being absent.
ReplyI have allergies and frequently receive beautiful candles that I can't use as hostess gifts. I pass them to several candle loving friends who I know will use and appreciate them.
ReplyI have been given beautiful things that do not suit my taste. Rather than waste them or have them clutter my garage, I offer them to a friend .
ReplyI've received gifts that were not me but knew someone else would enjoy them!!
ReplyI would rather an unwanted gift go to someone who could use it than to a landfill.
