Neighbors are kind of like built in family. You don't get much choice in who they are, and you are kind of stuck with them. It is easier if you get along and they are good to have if you need help. Even if we are not best friends, I still try to be kind to them.

For one, it's nice to be friendly! Two, you never know when you might need their help for something. Three, if you're planning to live there a while, and they're planning to live there a while, it's in your best interests to get along. And I have a lot more reasons but I have reached my word limit.

Don't hang, but we pass a pleasant word now and then.

I greet them if I see them, so I am friendly. But we are not close friends, like the Ricardos and the Mertzes.

Most of them. But, we are friendly neighbors, not friends. No matter where we live, there is always one neighbor we don't get along with, though.
