Open space is limited in the city of Bend and is important to preserve for now and the future.

I live in Bend for immediate access to unblighted open space, not narrow strips of token open space hedged in by buildings and development.

Since coid is taxpayer-funded that would mean taxpayers own that land. We should be able to decide what is done with it not the bureaucrats that work for us. So there should be no need for new taxes. Hell if it is sold we should get a tax refund since it was paid for with our money to begin with.

I pay enough taxes currently to support more open spaces. Why is it always more with the government? They should focus on waste and stretch what they are currently getting.

The people that want to stop development should pool their own money and buy it. Then pay the property taxes like all other land owners. No more on going expenses to other tax payers that don't use it like the ice rink.

Absolutely not!! Bend bilks property owners for every little thing they want to preserve or fund. I am ALL for increasing alcohol, cigarette and gas taxes, so that EVERYONE shares in the pain of extra taxes. I am REALLY tired of property owners always bearing the brunt for EVERYTHING Bend wants!!

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies

He's mad because California has never voted for him. Dictators do what Dictators do.
