Because Covid is 99 percent survivable and working out is what keeps your immune system at its best. Exercise is how you stay healthy. This Covid insanity needs to stop.

If box stores are safe so is the gym.

If I don't feel safe, then I won't go 🤷‍♀️ The madness has gone on long enough...

Because its safer then grocery stores. So many people touch things in stores and no one is cleaning in between touches, impossible. But gyms, everything gets cleaned after every use/ touch.

It should be my decision, not the government, if a person is uncomfortable don't use the facility.

Gyms are more sanitized and clean than a grocery or mall store. It is also better to excercise than to live on a couch.

If the mask mandate and social distancing in gyms is followed consistently, gyms do not seem to add any increased risk to those who frequent them. I worked out in my gym daily until the latest shutdown and there were no incidences of anyone contracting the virus.

Have worked out for decades and LA Fitness was only allowing 50 people in at a time, cleaning stations everywhere & masks required. GYMS ARE NOT RESTAURANTS - folks do not take masks off to eat... If at issue, close down aerobic machines - it is crazy to NOT let people be healthy, follow rules.

The only reason I wear a mask is to keep local businesses open. My cancer surviving 70 year old sister had COVID-19 in early December and her husband never got it. He was also a cancer survivor and they credit vitamin D, who knows.

When done properly, gym equipment is already wiped down between users. If an added layer of sanitizing happened, that would help. There would also need to be some way to control saliva droplets during exercise.

Yes if I did not have to wear a mask, no way I could work out wearing a mask. It is irrelevant for me anyway there are no decent gyms in Redmond, I will build my own gym in my garage.

because we live in a free society where our guaranteed rights as citizens allow us to make choices without the heavy hand of the gov't pushing down on us and forcing us to comply. (see Stalinism).

It's still too unsafe. Our number of cases in deschutes county has almost tripled from the previous height back in July and August. Without people following protocols, limiting group size and keeping a small bubble the gymnasium offers a great opportunity for there to be an outbreak. It's too soon.

1 in 1000 people have died of covid in the US, it's getting worse. 1 in 74 people in CO currently have covid. Not worth the risk of getting it, spreading it, being a covid long hauler, dying, or causing someone else's death. Be a responsible member of society people!

283,001 people died of Pneumonia out of 291,757 associated with COVID-19. COVID might have contributed to some of the deaths but Pneumonia killed the vast majority.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies
