This question was just posed recently. I think is there is a legitimate issue with a particular property endangering another's, then Yes. However, based on the recent Dpt. of Forestry assessments which were rescinded because they are so outdated, no one should have to bsed on those assessments.

We have freedoms in how we manage our own homes but we also have an obligation to be good citizens. When it comes to human lives, that obligation should outweigh personal preferences.

I don't know that the state should require it, but I think the insurance companies should.

The government should start with logging the forest so it's not overgrown where ALL fires start!!

The bigger risk is the homeless campers off China Hat and in other parts of the county. The state needs to address that problem first before further burdening law-abiding, tax-paying citizens.

I'll go with "no" on this one. If there's insurance on the house, the insurer could do that. Ditto for any mortgage holder. If neither applies, I don't think we should try to regulate stupidity.

Well, too much of anything is bad, but protecting people's lives is not too much.

More laws don't fix everything. Especially when they can't or won't be enforced. People should just do it out of common sense.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies

He's mad because California has never voted for him. Dictators do what Dictators do.
