Drug Testing should be Done, Also a work requirement. if you get any state aid there are plenty of clean up work to do. Clean roads, trash, so on. If you are able bodied get off your butt.

The entire welfare system is abused and has enabled so many people that are fully capable of working to support themselves and their families. There should be stricter regulations & a limited time

The SNAP program needs to be replaced with something similar to WIC. If taxpayers are footing the bill then SNAP users should be drug tested and be limited to what they can buy. No more junk food.

As long as people are able to use their benefits to purchase items with zero nutritional value (soda, candy, chips, junk food) it is not efficient and goes against the SNAP program's stated purpose.

this program is a joke. Millions of tax payers money go to waste every day. These individuals should receive subsidies instead of a credit card that can be abused in many different ways.

I'm unwilling to say there's too many people on it or that they get too much, but I believe there needs to be changes in eligibility and distribution.

Yep cut the number of people on it by 50%. No fast food allowed and limit it to just basic types of foods. No Hot or ready to eat foods.

There is overwhelming abuse. People selling their cards then getting a replacement. Soda and candy should not be available, but toilet paper, tampons and soap should be.

I imagine some need the program, but I constantly hear the children are going hungry. Why? Because other things take priority over feeding the children.

We should go back to the Abundant Food Program. Very hard to fraud that system. My mom was on it for a short time with 5 children and we did not starve, plus healthier!

As expected. The people that gave us Walden and a huge tax cut for the rich are super concerned that a few addicts are abusing SNAP.

I am a SNAP recipient. I am live on Social Security alone. Seniors need this boost to our food budgets. I have yet to choose between food and medications but it's only a matter of time.

People need it and the amount of misuse is very small. Catch them but leave the majority alone.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies
