Where is the water for all those new homes coming from. We have a finite resource, and rampant expansion of new homes is reckless. We are in a major drought and it's not going away magically. Are we going to keep building until suddenly our taps run dry? This is stoopid! This is self inflicted. NO

It won't be affordable, and we are in a drought. Unless there is WAY more snow coming on in the near future we should stop building.

People are fleeing the big cities because they are no longer habitable. Problem is, they are bringing their ideals and politics with them which contributed to the larger cities becoming trash heaps. It's coming to central Oregon.

Don't call it affordable housing. Call it what it is: compact slums

Bend's growth is already out of hand and poorly designed.

Infrastructure and water are not ready for the current demand much less additional demand.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies

He's mad because California has never voted for him. Dictators do what Dictators do.
