it is the law. Come to America Legally NOT Illegally. And because they have denied Asylum from Guatemala and Mexico by law they are not eligible for Asylum in America.

They need to go thru the system legally. We need to take care of our own people that are here! Other countries have restrictions, therefore we need to uphold ours. Background and drug testing is als

We have a legal immigration system. We need to be able to control who immigrates and how many, this is one of the purposes of borders. We are a nation of laws and those laws need to be respected.

Yes, tighter border security is necessary. I'm tired of my tax money going to illegal immigrants for food stamps, WIC, free education, healthcare and free government handouts.

Absolutely, it's necessary. These groups need to know that we mean business. Many have entered freely, while most are criminals and using children and women to get in. Defensive measures.

Uneducated, unemployed and unwilling to enter/apply the legal way, no way of vetting them. Demoncrats are very quiet on this as they see potential voters down the road. Build the wall!

This is our country. This is an invasion and had better be stopped. I support our troops assistance on border patrol issues. Turn them back. Fix your own country. Don't dump your trash here.

Troops cannot engage with people trying to cross over. It is just a BIG show from Trump, trying to engage his base before the elections. It is an absurd waste of resources.

No because it only brings out the hate in people.. besides more people cross by air and water than they do by land. and most by land go through ports.

The US created a lot of the violence, and poverty, in So. America since the days of Reagan. Now we are going to turn our backs on what we created? And we buy the drugs they grow.

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies
