It is time these symbols of hate and dehumanization (slavery) are discarded by an informed population.

Who gets to decide what a hate symbol is? Are all the items in the King Tut exhibit hate symbols? He had slaves.

As long as you ban the BM bullshit, that's fine.

This is nothing more than an attempt to dumb down Oregon students. The end result of this agenda will remove many important world and national events from history. We should learn from history.

What exactly are you considering a hate symbol? And what exactly do you mean by banning? The attempt to delete history I certainly do not agree with.

One person's definition of a symbol of hatred can be very different from someone else's.

It depends on what and who decides is a hate symbol. Too many symbols, statues, etc are being banned or destroyed even if it is just a historical reinder. You can not change history and shouldn't ,

Government officials should not be determining hate speech. All speech, even hateful, is protected by our free speech rights. Next our social or religious group may be labeled as using hate speech.

Who determines what is a symbol of hate and what is something that is part of our history that should be remembered so we do not repeat mistakes. Too many sensitive and uneducated out there today.

Who is defining "hate symbol"? I will say however, that although some of our Country's history is disturbing, it does not change the fact that it IS our history, and should not be erased......

The state refused to keep people and businesses safe. Someone needed to step in.

They have the right to demonstrate but they do not have the right to damage or destroy. Apparently local enforcement couldn't handle it. Stop it asap

Trump is agitating the situation. If Gov Newsom had thought it necessary he would have called them in. It was not Trump’s decision to make. Trump is merely trying to take over California because it is a mainly democratic state and he considers its citizens enemies
