Hard to replace the veteran experience but one has to question why at this point afraid of the hard work required by a true D-line coach?

The No side believes that this will not hurt due to the fact that his heart was not in it. This is correct, but he was still with his size, ability, and experience better than the youngsters we will trot out there. Undoubtedly, this will temporarily hurt our defensive line performance.

It's now going to take until next season to see a good rushing defense. If certain players don't want to work hard, why did they even play football then?

Leaves us pretty young and without much depth. Looks like we have some good "young ones" but they will have to come along quickly.

anytime you lose a senior leader that, by all accounts, was having a great spring it will hurt. hopefully only short term though as the young talent ramps up. development is key.

Three year starter cannot be replaced instantly and it will slow the growth of the defense.

We are getting pretty thin and young at d-tackle(d-line as a whole really). Our strength from last year may become our weaknesses this year.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
