It was a wise COACHING decision not to let Ameer play further against Purdue. Looked like he could have gone back in after the brace and some treatment, but why risk it. Two weeks to get him ready for Wisky...

Remember, Ameer is a very versatile player, he can be used as a decoy, a receiver out of the backfield, he's a darn good blocker. Imani Cross is also a very good running back, can't forget Newby either. Need I say more?

He is a strong willed individual and he will do everything to be ready.

I think Nebraska's defense will raise their play to compensate. Also the offense will mentally adjust. They all want to win.

MCL sprain to heal up completely in 2 weeks......no way. Unfortunately, it will bother him for the remainder of the season.

His freakish ability to stop and cut on a dime is what makes him who he is and even if he's close to 100% he won't get much practice and I guarantee that injury is going thru his head come Wisconsin game time. I really worry about him coming out and cutting hard the first time and re-injuring it but this time worse.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
