Run the play called.

It was a called run play and QB was told not to throw. He needs to get hearing aids or get his ego in check.

Football 101. A 3 year starter has to know that he CANNOT risk an incomplete pass there.

Sure coaches take the responsibility, but fault? Yeah, that was Tommy. It happens.

If they really did call a run then why didn't the coaching staff bench Tommy on the next play. The next play was a pass yet again when they should have either kicked a field goal, punted, or ran the ball. The coaching unit pays lip service to the run. I was there and it was windy, passed all day.

First rule of leadership - it's always the boss' fault (in this case the coaches are the bosses). Call a play where there's no chance of it not being a run. It's all on the coaches.

A belly dive, QB draw, or FB trap would have simplified the play. Why put your lead blocker (TE) in motion before the snap. He forgot to go in motion. Tommy didn't make sure he went in motion to the correct spot, our RB said he thought it was a run. THREE mistakes - that's on coaching.

There were so many opportunities in the first 3 quarters that were not taken advantage of that the game never should have hinged on the 3rd down in the 4th quarter.

Coaches need to insure a win not let the players play pee wee football. when leading by 6 and Ill has just march down the field. the field goal was the best chance to secure the win or run pass option, PS any more decisions like that heads need to row.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
