We have a lot of talent coming back on the defensive side of the ball and I like our young LB's. I think with an attacking style of D from our DL there will be more TO opportunities. I think Coach Riley is an experienced offensive coach and will play to the strenghts of the talent we have on O.

Can't imagine Harbaugh resurrecting that train wreck that quickly.

Mike Riley, because he's getting a team with a winning record and Harbaugh not.

Riley's hitting all right notes so far, inherited a team that under-achieved, and already addressed its worst problem under Pelini: an overly complex defense that couldn't handle power running games. Also,Harbaugh is grossly overrated (Kaeprenick plateaued under Harbaugh, an ex-QB).

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
