Minnesota was impressive, but my biggest single surprise was Wisconsin QB Jack Coan. The Badgers were going to be a good team, but they became a great team because of the unexpected play of Coan.

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.

The CU loss seemed to tie the Huskers into a knot. IMO once a team suffers a loss like that, it really seems to haunt them throughout the season.
ReplyThe huge step backwards on offense was the biggest surprise. Special teams was also an unexpected disappointment. My 2020 expectation have been realigned. Just hoping for bowl eligibility.
ReplyMy hat's off to Minnesota, but the "Sean Watson" (splg?) like offense of the Huskers puzzled me. And the defense to date is nothing we can count on. Specials teams have broken down too. Urgh...
