Because of the success that he has had at every coaching position that flourished under his tutelage.

I think we just hired the finest coach in the business. Win or lose, we will now do it the Nebraska way.

don't mention the six coach of the year awards, or the amazing job already done. The brilliant move of keeping, his whole staff, so only players are learning the system. don't tell.

New coach... got to prove he is higher. Rankings are so BS anyway.

He hasn't proved anything yet in the B1G

His ranking will improve when he demonstrates that he can make the Huskers a serious contender for the Big 10 Championship. Currently he is still an unproven commodity within the Big 10.

I think he'll be an upper echelon Big Ten coach, but he still has to prove himself.

Unproven in the Big14Ten with a team heading into '18 that will be lucky for 1 win against MICH, WIS, OSU, or MSU,

He hasn't coached a game yet. A higher ranking will take care of itself with wins.

Until he actually coaches a game for us, we shouldn't be speculating on where he stands in our conference. I fully anticipate him to rise steadily, but we won't know until he actually does it

Coach Frost bad, team bad, no hope here, we will be weak and confused, just like last year. Other teams don't even need to practise for us. pass it on.

As others have said, it needs to be proven on the field.

While I love that he is our coach, he has to prove himself in the Big Ten. I am confident he will do that! Go Big Red!

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
