Yes! Academic support is there for them every step of the way. If they are able to compete then they should have the option to compete. Remember why Marshall needed to play freshmen back in the day??

Antiquated philosophy. College athletes at most schools have excellent academic support and are set up to succeed. I think in basketball, the JUCO system would florish. But, it might destroy the Calipari model, which may not be a terrible thing.

We have had and settled this debate already. some of these "Kids" come out of Programs that would rival some small colleges. Freshman can be Red Shirted if they are not ready.

Recruiting impact plus if a freshmen can play let them. They earn it through skill and work.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
