Any mildly astute observer could see a sea change from previous years. We all know the Huskers have dire needs, of course. (Like, um, pass rush.) We're on the right path just as we were in 1962.

The defense was a shit show to say the least. The D-line was definitely the biggest problem, maybe the dline coach leaving isn't just because he was offered a NFL job. d- line play didnt improve.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
