Bessides Washington, he is exactly what we need, although I see him as a backup, or secondary back to Washington. Washington is better, but we'll see how the season unfolds. It's coming!

I'm more than a little concerned about his off-field issues but man - this could be the jolt the offense needs to be damn near unstoppable

Washington is absent for time being. Wirhout Washington D. Mills clearly stands out as the RB who has the most yards of experience at running back for Nebraska.

NU fans have heaped praise on other running backs before they ever excelled on the field. We are doing the same for Dedrick Mills. Let him show us he is the missing link. Remember last year's RB?

IF, IF he can keep himself upright moving forwards, keep issues laid to rest, there is a very positive reaction for a team that has some elementary attitudes, I want all Huskers to succeed!

With Wandale Robinson coming on board, and more maturity and experience at QB, perhaps a big RB wasn't as critical as some positions on defense.

Straightening out somebody's mental conditioning is tough.

I'll trust the coaches if they think he's got his off field issues under control, but we've seen too many hyped-up JC transfers flame out for me to be too excited until I see something on game day.

Have to see what kind of shape he is in now and where he will be at the end of fall camp. Greg Bell was a very high rated JC back last year and we see how that worked out. I want the best for him!

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

It had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
