I think it should be 16. Champ from each conference and 5 at large berths.

it brings out better parity... It lets the none power 5 teams show their power and gives them a chance to prove they are the best. It gives it a Cinderella story effect....

Although its has drawbacks, most importantly extending the season to 16 games (NFL!) for championship teams, it would assure that no deserving team would be left out solely based on conf. affiliation

I really think it should be a 16 team playoff but eight is better than 4 or 6! Put the 2 best teams from every conference and let's see who comes out the winner.

I think it needs to be 16 teams like the lower divisions...

You will always have a power 5 school left out with current format. 5 conference winners s/b automatic with 3 at large. Pandora's box is open, embrace it.

After watching the NCAA basketball & baseball tourneys, football needs to have an 8-team playoff. Two reasons; so non-power five teams have a chance and (2) there are 5 power conferences, not four.

So teams like UCF can’t be left out.

Although it would take away games from conferences most want to see a robust competition for a national champion, including other than the power five conferences.

The move to an 8-team playoff is all about generating more TV money, not about identifying the best team. The present system, for all its faults, is the best balance of revenue and quality.

Four is enough. If 8, why not 16, or for that matter 32? Regardless of the number, those left out will say they were robbed.

to many games for the players and no guarantee the process would be better than it is now

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
