When we face a team with a good pas s rush, you will see how badly we will miss him

You're absolutely right. If your QB can't run... can't roll out... can't execute the option... you're in trouble. Unless you e got an O Line that can protect the QB. We'll see about that!

Unless the offensive line is much better I do not know anyone who could scramble and gain time like Tommy when the line collapsed.

Heart & soul of the team. With a senior backing him up. there is no depth behind him.

Great guy, great heart, Great runner, OK passer. We need to be able to throw the ball about 20 times a game and complete 16 of them. Especially down the field. He could throw far but not accurate. The receivers made him look better than he was,

He was not a good passer.

Tommy has heart and played his butt off for this team. I don't know if there was a better passer while rolling out of the pocket...however he was too inconsistent and was not the QB for Riley's and Langsdorf's system They have their type QB now..put up or shut up!!!

With this new offense, He would have been a backup-great character, excellent teammate... just not the right fit for where we are going

Tommy never fit into Riley's offensive plans. He has 4 passing qbs on the team.

Consistency! He can lead the team to the big win one week and lose the game with mistakes the next.

I believe the Huskers should be a better passing team .Will not have the same big runs that Tommie could produce as a dual threat QB.

Like Banker said of him, a heart of a lion and a very good running QB. But a passer, please. Not the best QB IQ and decision making often times left you shaking your head.

He was the worst QB in major college football. We had little chance to win a big game unless he happened to have a good day. Everyone else in college knew he wasn't a QB but hey "Bo Knows"???

Tommy had pluses and minuses to his game. We will miss his running ability, but he can be replaced.

take his legs away and what do you have? A QB that can't hardly throw. It won't be hard at all...

I like TA. But he missed critical games for him being so tough. Very, VERY inconsistent. I want a QB who has true toughness like Scott Frost and Eric Crouch. Those guys represent toughness.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
