He struggled in recruiting and the D line's performance was pathetic on getting pressure on the quarterbacks that they played against this year and The players did not buy into his coaching Philosophy

When you don't recruit any D lineman you reap what you sow.

Bc if you can't recruit you can't help the team out so I get it had his chance and missed 4 DL If I remember right

We were top 10 against the run. It wasn't obvious until the very end that he was failing on the Recruiting Trail. so if anyone says they saw it coming, they're full of it.

never heard of the guy till he was fired, but glad he is gone. Seems like he wasn't earning his $300,000 salary

It's nice to see MR evolve if you're not getting the job done.

Not saying I'm surprised... But, I just didn't realize there was any problem there. But, once I started looking at the information that is "out there", I can see why they might be wanting to make a change.

I am not privy to any inside information and I don't speculate on how well anyone is doing as a result. In other words I don't pretend to know what I don't know to feel like a big shot lol! It does look like a good move after the facts that were released came out.

Pass rush is but one part of DL play. They stopped the run effectively and contained most scrambles. The blitz packages or lack thereof fall on Banker, not Hughes.

Because he was not the weak point in the pass defense.

Do you think Trev Alberts was correct to push for the coaching staff changes before season end?

It was right to do sooner than later

Should have waited until season was over

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.

The production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.

I imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.

The team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.
