The murals are a part of history! If we keep taking down/and or removing statue's and Murals why teach history in schools!!! This is getting totally out of hand!!
Reply Replywhy take them down, it is history that needs to be seen and remembered the way it was and not the way they want you to see it, or not see it...
Reply ReplyIf the paintings are offensive, then you'd have to count George Caleb Bingham's famous Order Number 11 painting as offensive too.
Reply ReplyTrying to sweep history under the door is no way to improve our Nation. The Boone County Commission is a failure.
Reply ReplyExamining our past is SUPPOSED to feel uncomfortable. This is where the urge to grow and change comes from. It's the same sort of whitewashing of the past as the fake issue of Critical Race Theory.
Reply ReplyIf these paintings were painted today, there would be drive by shootings, tent cities on the sidewalks, and needles and human waste everywhere. We don't want the truth to be exposed. It might hurt someone's feelings.
