Commented "Don't close Minnesota Avenue, and don't take away any more parking elsewhere. A Promenade is not needed. The sidewalks provide plenty of walking room in the downtown area."
Commented "Homelessness is a huge problem here already. We don't want to become California. Establishing a permanent location that is pretty well out of public sight, away from major thoroughfares is a good solution."
Commented "Like many others, I think a property owner should be the sole determinant of who and for how long someone lives in an RV on their personal property."
Commented "Why Bend doesn't think about creating some rooftop restaurants? I lived in DC for 15 yrs, and there are many. You're up high, away from traffic noise, under the stars. It's a really great idea. Doing this atop a few buildings here would negate the need for using sidewalks for outdoor dining."
Commented "Not permanently. Just as long as Covid presents a threat - which could be another several months - to give restaurants more outside space for diners. Once Covid is no longer a major threat, I think the reduction in parking is more of a problem, so parklets should not be permanent."
Commented "Absolutely! I also support Vaccine Passports. Anti-vaxxers should not have the right to continue to put others at risk. Their sections should have all the required protocols, while those who can prove they have been vaccinated should have more freedom from masks and social distancing."
Commented "Unless they have a TRULY medical reason for not getting vaccinated, they should. More and more young people (teens) are being hospitalized with Covid, So yes they should be vaccinated. Other (early childhood) vaccines are required! Why not for another disease??"
Commented "NO!! Bend is overrun by tourists and people looking to move here. The Chamber needs to tone it down and quit encouraging people to come here and move here. Our economy is doing just FINE without extra people here for any reason!! Covid is not gone. Building cannot keep up. Tourists not welcome!"
